Plant Tissue Culture Kits

SEED GERMINATION INDUCTION KIT

The best method for obtaining uncontaminated explants is to take explants from seedlings which are aseptically grown from surface-sterilized seeds. The hard surface of the seed is less permeable to penetration of harsh surface sterilizing agents, so the acceptable conditions of sterilization used for seeds can be much more stringent than for vegetative tissues.

CALLUS INDUCTION KIT

These are the cultures in which a cell from any part of the plant like shoot apex, bud, leaf, mesophyll cell, epidermis, cambium, anthers, pollen, fruit etc. is taken and inoculated in suitable medium under aseptic lab conditions to differentiate and multiply into an amorphous mass of cells called as callus. Callus can then be induced to re-differentiate on appropriate medium to develop embryoids that directly develop into plantlets and plants.

SHOOT CULTURE KIT

Shoot culture process involves separation of the shoot into small segments each containing one node. The axillary bud on each segment will grow out in culture to form shoot.

ROOT CULTURE KIT

Root culture is the culture of excised radicle tips of aseptically germinated seeds in a liquid medium where they are induced to grow independently under controlled conditions. Root tip cultures are generally maintained in moving liquid medium. In culture, root tips are induced to grow like that of root system of an intact plant.

PREPARATION OF ARTIFICIAL SEEDS KIT

Tissue cultured embryos do not have a seed coat like natural embryo. To use these tissue cultured embryo as seed, they need to be artificially coated. This artificial coating is done in calcium alginate gels.

POLLEN CULTURE KIT

In culture, pollen divides mitotically to form vegetative nuclei. The vegetative nucleus divides repeatedly, forming multinucleate pollen. The multinucleate pollen undergoes segmentation which may lead to form either organized embryoid structure or callus tissue. Both types of developments are utilized to form haploid plantlets.

LEAF CULTURE KIT

Leaf culture is the culture of excised young leaf primordial or immature young leaf of the shoot apex in a chemically defined medium where they grow and follow the developmental sequences under controlled conditions.

FLOWER CULTURE KIT

Flower initiation is one of the most important morphogenetic events in the life cycle of angiosperms. The technique of aseptic culture of flower primordial or flower bud is a potentially useful tool for any study concerned with the control of flower morphogenesis.

EMBRYO CULTURE KIT

In vitro culture of embryo helps to study the factors that are important to regulate the growth of the primordial organs of the seedling plant and successive biochemical and metabolic changes of germination.

MERISTEM CULTURE KIT

Meristem culture is in vitro culture of a shiny dome-like structure present at the shoot apex. These cultures are very famous for their application in virus eradication, micro-propagation and preservation of genetic resources.

ANTHER CULTURE KIT

Anther culture is the process of using anthers to culture haploid plantlets in fairly quick time and with ease. The microspores within the cultured anthers develop into callus tissue or embryoids that give rise to haploid plantlets either through organogenesis or embryogenesis.

PREPARATION OF PROTOPLAST, FUSION & REGENERATION KIT

Plant protoplast culture study is gaining interest because of their potential use in plant cell genetics and especially in cell fusion and transfer of genetic information by DNA uptake and organelle implantation. The kit enables user to prepare protoplasts from two different plants, fuse them and regenerate them to develop into a whole plantlet.

PREPARATION OF SUSPENSION CULTURES, ISOLATION OF SINGLE CELL SUSPENSION AND CALCULATION OF PLATING EFFICIENCY KIT

Suspension cultures in moving liquid medium is an important experimental technique over callus culture because callus proliferates as an unorganized mass of cells. So it is very difficult to follow many cellular events during its growth and developmental phases.

SOMATIC EMBRYOGENESIS KIT

In Somatic (asexual) Embryogenesis, embryo-like structures, which can develop into whole plant in a way analogous to zygotic embryos, are formed from somatic tissues. This kit is based on the technique of indirect Somatic Embryogenesis.
